I know I owe you photos, etc. but I have a really, really good excuse.
A splint on my left hand. Which makes it very hard to type.
So in a few days, I will catch you up on my Middle East trip. Until then, I am nursing a sprained thumb, really wishing it was broken so I’d have a cast (and my first ever broken bone) and then when people asked me how I broke my hand, I could answer:
Riding a camel.
Cross my heart. That’s the truth.
Further details TK (that’s “to come” in publishing lingo).
Ma salemi.
Oh dear! I believe a sprain from a camel ride is just as impressive as a broken bone. Can’t wait to see the photos!

Welcome home, Kirby! I’m sorry about your sprain, but I agree with Jaime – it sounds incredibly cool.
Oh no! And I JUST ordered that yoropen (I think that what it was called) – now you need a SUPER yoropen.
Riding a camel? Yeah, sure….
Barbara,
What is a yoropen? I’m sure I need one! It’s hard to type with only one good hand.
I thought of you as I sipped my Stella — I’m not usually a beer drinker but in that heat it was heavenly.
