This revision I’m working on means more research, with a capital R. But I’m not really complaining because I ascribe to Zora Neale Hurston’s definition:
“Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose.”
Thanks to all who sent encouraging words about the big job ahead of me. I surely do appreciate the cheerleading.
And, I’ll probably need more.
Luckily poking and prying are things we writers do with easily and with glee. For my new, post-Meggy book, I have to go interact with a pig. Good luck to both of us.
My grandfather said pigs were the smartest animals — and he was never wrong!
Don’t you love having a valid excuse for being nosy?
